Healing, meditative and relaxing in-person and virtual sound baths
Sound baths are a fast track ticket to a deep healing, restorative state
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience. It is called a 'bath' because you are bathed in the vibrations from the sound. I uses crystal and Tibetan bowls and a gong along with various other instruments to create a healing, calm and restorative environment.
What are the benefits?
Sound baths are a wonderful experience to create space in our busy lives for relaxation, healing and reconnecting with yourself. Along with promoting a sense of overall well-being sound baths can balance the nervous system, release emotions, healing, increase self-confidence and self-awareness, enhance creativity, reduce anxiety and stress, detoxify and clears blockages, improves sleep and can relieve pain.
What can I expect?
I will welcome you to a cosy, calming environment where you will get comfortable on a matt, covering your eyes and snuggling into blankets if you wish. All you have to do is receive the sound bath meditation with an open mind and heart. I allow time following the sound bath to integrate back into the world around you and time for questions and sharing or guidance if you wish.
How does it work?
Firstly we have to understand that everything is vibrating, even if we can't see it. Have you ever held a glass of water near a speaker and seen the vibrations in the water? 60% of our body is made up of water, imagine if we could see what the vibrations of what the sound bath was doing to inside our body. Everything has its own frequency which resonates with different parts of our body including cells, tissues, and organs. This resonance can help bring balance and harmony to those areas. The amazing part is that our brainwaves synchronise with external rhythms, a phenomenon known as entrainment. The rhythmic vibrations of a sound bath can help guide our brainwaves into the Theta state which is a more relaxed and meditative state where healing takes place.
